HgCapital Trust plc, which was established in 1989, is an investment trust listed on the London Stock Exchange (ticker: HGT.L). Shares may be bought or sold through a stockbroker and most banks also offer this service. HgCapital was appointed investment manager in 1994. HgCapital Trust, through minority participation in all HgCapital's investments, provides exposure to a diversified portfolio of private equity investments in Western Europe. The objective is to provide long-term capital appreciation and net asset value growth in excess of the FTSE All-Share Index.
