With a couple of more trading days left in May, it looks like the annual "May"hem is not materialising which is good news for most PI. Is June going to be a month for Jumping for Joy or becoming a damp squib???

For the June 2014 “>20%” monthly oil stock competitions, which oil stocks will have the greatest move for

(i) >20% gain?
(ii) >20% loss?

You may enter two stocks, one for (i) and one for (ii). More than one person may enter the same stock. The deadline for the June competition is midnight on Sunday 1 June 2014. Results will be posted on this thread asap after the June month end.

AEX for the up please.

In the Wentworth quarterly update conference call they sounded pretty confident that the GSA would be signed by end Q2 and that should be the catalyst for a rerating of AEX. But if it is not signed......

Nighthawk Energy (LON:HAWK) for the up, please: expect them to conclude financing, possibly issue CPR for Arikaree Creek, plenty more drilling & production news. AGM on Monday: I'll be there.

June turned out to be a really good month for oil stocks in the >20% Up competition. The average was an impressive 18.8% Up!!!

LGO ran away with a mega 168% gain, courtesy of the Gros Morne formation which contains producible oil as demonstrated by the first new well drilled in the field. Perhaps this is just the beginning….more successful producers to follow. Congratulations to Oblomof and Gary1966 for winning the >20% Up competition!!!!

TRP rolled the dice and nothing showed up from their Namibia drilling effect. The share price got hammered, down almost 63% in June. Congratulations to Ringosstar, GHH, Casanare and Wshak for winning the >20% Down competition!!!
