I always like June. The month when summer begins. A whole summer to look forward to.....and forget the battering of oil stocks in recent months.....

For the June 2013 “>20%” monthly oil stock competitions, which oil stocks will have the greatest move for

(i) >20% gain?
(ii) >20% loss?

Youi may enter two stocks, one for (i) and one for (ii). More than one person may enter the same stock. The deadline for the June competition is midnight on Sunday 2 June 2013. Results will be posted on this thread asap after the June month end.

GKP for +20% for me.
Can smell an "imminent" court case judgement,and plenty of newsflow due (in addition to Ber Bahr - 1 results this morning)

For the down. has to be PMG. Prior choices of Aex and AST are effectively down on their knees already.

I will go for a change, in that the money that has swapped from GKP to GENL will return to GKP on an end to the court case and the stark fact that with the court case over - whichever way it goes be it they win or lose - it then opens the door to a bid with no more question marks over the asset ownership.

Up Aminex (AEX) for me please. I can't believe the shares didn't rally on Thursday's RNS advising that the Ruvuma PSA changes had been approved. I hope the farm out process will be completed during June but, even if it isn't, the shares seem well overdue a bounce, to me.

Apologies for the lateness this month for the results. Lots of things going on this week.

The oil stock market is still suffering from fatigue fever this month even though the oil price has
been holding up quite well.

It is actually unusual to see no >20% rise in the >20% Up Competition. Unfortunately, Hot June did
not really materialise. But that did not stop AST from ascending with a 18% gain! Well done to
Triples!!!

As for the >20% Down competition, as you can imagine, in a subdued oil stock market, there were
plenty of choices making the running. Eventually good old FRR won with a 25% share price reduction
and with a very slim margin against CEO and NEW. Well done to ChristianF12!!!

Hopefully Scorching July will bring us an abundance of the good feel factor…….and translating into
something we can all cheer about…..
