UP: FPM on positive drilling updates
DOWN:PMG again - still too high
In a rush but:
Up - Vast (VST) on news from KRG (obv bigger impact on VST than NKO)
Down - RKH on a poor drilling result.
Up: BLVN - expect SP to climb towards drilling results (but maybe a better bet for April, when results might actually be expected)
Down: BPC errr £200m market cap., with around £5m of cash, no drilling in sight and nothing but seismic on frontier (and expensive to drill) acreage. Sooner or later this will come back down to earth. But will it be in March?

I suspect that I should keep my mouth shut for a change this time - but it really won't take much for SOCO (LON:SIA) to put on 20% this month, given the ongoing potential for value realisation at any time - and the point that an update is (over)due on TGT - and perhaps there will be news on TGD. The interims are scheduled for 23rd March.
Other than that I think the macro environment will be very important this month - some potential for more political action, oil price volatility and risk on/off oscillations from the hedgies etc.

Please may I go for VOG for the UP competition? They are now promising a presidential signature on their Cameroonian exploitation licence 'imminently' and if that proves true there might be a flurry of relieved buyers.

With two wells due to spud any day now, I would be very surpised in the run up to the drill results not to see the sp back at the highs it reached prior to the Catcher North result (which was a disappointment, but not a failure, and the subsequent fall seems overdone in any event imho). That is prior to the drilling results, which may just catch the end of the month - if they do then there are a variety of outcomes, ranging from disappointing to fantastic - and possibly transformational ;-)

I would love to put "UP- Western Zagros", getting into Vast's slipstream after their result gets everyone looking at little Kurdistan E&p's. But this is mainly (this month) because I think Western Zagros is such a wonderful name-a film perhaps-and I'm dying to use it. Well maybe next month. Now, who would star in the film......? Would it be a Kebab Western or what...?
So instead, for up SOCO, SIA. About time for something.

For the >20% Up competition, unusually not one stock went over the >20% mark in March. The closest was BLVN with an 15.2% increase. Congratulations to Marben100!!!
For the >20% Down competition, the run away winner was Christian12 with a big drop of 39.8% on EOG. Congratualations!!!
