ii Business trading account fees increased

Saturday, Sep 14 2019 by

Looking for some advice and alternatives. I opened up a business trading account with ii late 2018 to invest surplus cash for my ltd company. An unwelcome email arrived yesterday to inform business account owners that along with the usual monthly fee (whatever plan you are on), an additional £29.99/month will be charged on top now.

This will take the monthly charge for me from £9.99 to £39.98 with commission on top for any trades. If anyone is doing something similar for a business trading account, can they offer any other competitive alternatives? This is going to be quite a hike to fees from £120 a year to £480!

Thanks, Jared.
(note: this fee change does not apply to regular private individual accounts like SIPP, ISA etc)

I've got exactly the same problem.   It' a drastic fee increase.

Barclays also increase their fees sharply quite recently.   What is it with brokers right now and their fee hikes!?

Hargreaves Lansdown, no fees for a business account. Great as long as you don't have any funds.

I'm seriously thinking about moving away from ii to one of the brokers who don't charge any fees!!
