The chairman of m & s should take a drive down to hedge end off the m27 and compare the next store there and he will start to see what needs to be done to his company on the clothing side.
I live in the Caribbean and always used to shop in m & s for clothing as you cannot buy anything in barbados clothing wise .
I went to next And bought five pairs of trousers, shirts, ties and got change out of 250 quid.
I had thrown away my last m & s purchases as they were just poor quality something I never thought I would say about Their products.
For gods sake do away with the awful autograph and blue Harbour brands and move into this century. If I am thinking these thoughts God knows what our wives who are far more fashion conscious than us men think.
Also open up a branch in Barbados it would make a fortune!!!
Both waitrosse and tesco now have a presence but Barbados is full of old school Brits and returning nationals who love all things Marks and Sparks .
I am looking at the shares as with the right leadership this has got to be a prime turnaround.
