Impax Group plc (\Impax\) is a financial advisory and asset management Company. The focus of the Group is the provision of financial services within the environmental markets sector, particularly alternative energy, waste management and water treatment. Impax has two subsidiaries: asset management and corporate finance advisory. Impax Asset Management Limited :- Impax Asset Management Limited (\IAM\) provides fund management and advisory services within the environmental markets sector and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. IAM has particular expertise in managing portfolios of listed stocks & private equity and is the originator of the ET50, an index comprising 50 of the largest \pure play\ environmental technology companies from 14 countries. IAM is the manager of Impax Environmental Markets plc (\IEM\), an investment trust that invests in companies that are commercialising or using environmental technology. In November 2005, IAM announced the successful placing and offer for subscription of T?60 million of C Shares with warrants, increasing IEM's total net assets to T?105 million. To meet investor demand, IAM also manages Impax Environmental Markets (Ireland) Fund, an open-ended version of IEM. IAM has recently launched Impax New Energy Investors LP (the \New Energy Fund\), a private equity fund targeting investments in projects in the renewable energy and related sectors, predominantly in Western Europe. The New Energy Fund has a target size of ???125m and announced a first closing of ???60m in August 2005. In addition, IAM is manager of The Recycling Fund, a venture capital fund focused on the UK recycling sector, and advisor to three funds with over T?45 million invested in the environmental markets sector; including the US$25 million PVMTI fund, a private equity facility funded by the International Finance Corporation targeting the solar energy industry. Impax Capital Limited :- Established in 1994, Impax Capital Limited (\Impax Capital\) is a corporate finance advisory house providing M&A, valuation and project finance advisory services to small, medium and large sized companies across the environmental markets sector. Impax Capital has a proven track record of deal closures and significant experience both in valuing companies in the environmental markets sector and in assisting larger corporates to enter the sector. The Company is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority as a corporate finance adviser.
