Intercede, leading supplier of identity and credential management software, announced that it has won a contract to supply its MyID Identity and Credential Management System to a leading US manufacturing and defence systems enterprise - joining contracts with Lockheed Martin and 14 US Federal Government agencies. The new contract will make a material contribution to this year's sales figures, and Intercede's board reaffirmed their expectation that the company's results will be in line with market expectations (EPS of 3.0p for the year ending 31 March 2011).

The new customer is currently upgrading their security infrastructure to align with the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Federal Information Processing Standard 201 - the standard used for the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards issued to government employees. Other US government contractors are expected to upgrade their systems over the next few years. As the leading PIV system provider, Intercede stands to increasingly benefit from these upgrades.
