FastBrick robotics ASX: FBR is a Perth based company making robots to lay bricks for house construction. They are negotiating a large contract of 50,000 houses in Saudi Arabia. Caterpillar has expressed intentions to get on the stock. Is it worth a Buy? What do others think?
Sounds interesting, but this sort of company is usually a better buy after they start to make some profit, while they seem to be at the computer rendering and prototype #1 stage. There's going to be a lot of competition in this space -- both other robot bricklayers, and alternative non-brick (semi-)automated construction (spend some time browsing the topic on youtube and you'll see plenty).
Besides, the directors seem to be extremely generous with themselves in cash & options...
