Is it August or is it December?

My Stocko email arrived today in a slightly new format - Subject Line reads:-

Small Cap Value Report | Stockopedia for 08/12/2019

Is it me being pedantic but do we really have to adopt this American way of showing the date?

Maybe readers could vote UP if you agree with me that it should go back to the previous format of 12/08/2019 or DOWN if you like this Americanisation.

If enough people vote and the consensus is to go back to the old way then perhaps someone will take notice. If the consensus is to stay American then I'll just have a lie down and then another cup of tea.

I agree with you.

I had another point of improvement to request. I have lots of stock alerts set up. Most of them are at much below current market prices, and are just an area where I would get interested.

Would it be possible to have another column saying how far the current price is off from the target, and perhaps allowing the list to be sorted in this way?

I agree 100%, I'm British, this part of the website is British facing so should be geared towards Brits.

Mind you the infiltration of American English into our UK society is more than a pet peeve of mine. I guess most of you agree with me, right? (see what I did there.)

In reply to post #503686

'of of(f)' is not the same as 'from'
'Data are correct' red pen (and sounds awkward anyway) 'Data is correct'
'Specilization' though on this one an argument could be made that it is a revival of an archaic English form

These are three that leap out of the page regularly

Webster has a lot to answer for !

For those interested, I chased Stocko up again today and received the following response:-

The change may have come from our mailing system and there is no way to fix it without revisiting the other settings on the system, which may potentially affect the whole mailing list.

Sorry about that.

I'm sorry too - and not very happy.

The 'proper' way for me please, some things are best left untouched.
