Not sure this announcement was the catalyst to the drop in the share price as the shares had already been in free fall since hitting a peak above 700p at the end of January. At that point it had a c.£3 billion market cap on historic sales of about £1 million. It’s an interesting company in a fashionable sector, but I think the shares had been hyped well above their fair value and suspect it will continue to be a wild ride. I managed to cash out most of my original holding at something like 30x the entry price and will look to get back in when the share price gets back towards the level of last year’s fundraising(s). They’ve just announced a results investor presentation for June 10th via the link below that should be worth a view.

You’re welcome. Fear not, there’s a few in the portfolio that have gone the other way. At the last count, I’m more than 90% down on holdings in Hurricane Energy (LON:HUR) and Sound Energy (LON:SOU) ! Swings and roundabouts .......

A back-of-an-envelope calculation resulted in revenues of £120m-£180m in order to grow into the current valuation. That's a lot of growth despite ITM appearing to be in the right place at the right time and doing the right things!
After hours trading update today and news of a £250m fundraise via an institutional book build and a £20m “friends and family” Subscription (i.e. nothing aimed at the PI that has largely bankrolled the company up until now).

A lot of very bullish noises about prospects and opportunities to use the cash but it’s still doing diddly squat revenues and loss making.

Details of the fundraising done at 400p (vis closing share price of 474p), a 15.5% discount. Slap in the face to PIs. Thanks boys.

Today they raised £250m from institutions to build a second Giga factory in Sheffield and a third (unspecified) which will raise capacity from 1 Gw to 5 Gw by 2024. This was prompted by unprecedented demand caused by the energy price and climate crises. Good article in today's FT.
This was always a 'jam tomorrow' share. Now you're being offered five times more jam for a 10% dilution.
Personally, I suspect there will be better entry points between now and 2024 although the sp has been rising steadily today after the initial shock.
I wish I could see some information on simple things like repeatability of business, profit margins. Seems to me impossible to make any sensible valuation!!
