I’m delighted to announce that registration for June’s virtual UK StockSlam is now open. We’ve teamed up again with PIWORLD and Damian Cannon to host the next virtual Slam at 6pm (BST) on Wednesday 23rd June.

If you aren’t familiar with the StockSlam, it is a fun, free social event where 10 private investors each have just 3 minutes to pitch a stock idea. Damian’s excellent hosting and Tamzin’s razor-sharp questions ensure that you’ll leave with a clear understanding of each stock’s basic investment case. With a diverse range of stocks being discussed, you’ll likely pick up some interesting ideas to research further.

Previous events have been heavily oversubscribed - unfortunately, we have had instances where we have had to turn people away. We have tripled capacity but this event is likely to remain extremely popular. If you’d like to attend, please do register here.

Frequently asked questions:

I can't make the event, will this be recorded?

Yes. We will be recording the StockSlam and a link to the recording will be sent to everyone that has registered after the event (we will aim to get this sent within 48 hours). If you can't make the date please do register anyway so that we can get this sent to you.

Do I have to pay to attend?

No - StockSlams are free to attend, but you do need to register to reserve your place.

Do I have to be a Stockopedia subscriber to take part?

The event is open to everyone - if you’d like to bring a friend, please do!

I don't live/invest in the UK, can I still take part?

As the event is for UK investors, we make sure that only UK stocks are pitched. This ensures that the stocks are investable, if your research shows that they fit your own investing goals and risk appetite.

We hope to expand the StockSlam into other countries in the future.

Are StockSlam pitches a recommendation to buy?

No. These events are a chance for individual investors to ‘talk their book’, and explain why they think that an individual stock makes for a good investment. This should not be taken as a recommendation to buy - a central assumption of the StockSlam is that attendees will do their own research on any of the stocks…
