By BFN News | 12:03 PM | Friday 10 December, 2010
Kibo Mining Ord Eur0.01 (KIBO)
Tanzanian gold and nickel explorer Kibo Mining plc reported a pre-tax loss of £0.48m for the year to September 30, previously £41k. The company was admitted to AIM during the year, raising funds pre- and post-IPO. Activities during 2010 included an economic study of the mining potential of the Itetemia project, a drilling programme on the Luhala project, trenching and soil sampling on the Haneti project and initial stream and rock sampling surveys at Morogoro. Chairman Christian Schaffalitzky said Kibo had moved forward the exploration and potential development plans of its current projects. It had also established a position from which it could become a major player in exploration and development of mineral deposits in Tanzania. Over the next year it expected to see an expanded exploration programme on its current ground, acquisition of new projects and increased access to funding. The shares were up 0.38p at 4.38p.
