There are some general aspects, introductions, buys and sells etc but essentially, it is down to the group to make it what they wish it to be. My intention at the first meeting will be to settle and engage the group. The first meeting is always a little nervous but this soon passes and everyone begins to engage, appreciating the potential of the meeting and the minds around the table.
If there is anything of interest in the investing world then put it forward. I find investors to be wonderfully intrigued, open minded and willing to learn from others.

Do you have any ideas as to what the sessions are going to cover. i'm only a beginner so would benefit from how to best use stockopedia to identify potential winners and how using the tools within the system to decide on the appropriate price to aim to buy the stock. I know this is what we are all trying to do and the criteria everyone uses is personal and they may not be prepared to share a winning formula.

After that I prefer bid-ask spread <2%, no directors' sales, profit margin >10%, PE<30, FCF close to PE, Net Gearing <50%, steadily rising share price over 5 years, low volatility - SD<20%, beta <1, capitalisation >enterprise value, and a product that's likely to be in demand in 10 years time.
I hope that this isn't too basic.

The agenda is currently quite open. I have various subjects in mind but as this is the first meeting, I was going to flow with the group. As this group has mainly formed from stockopedians, a look through making best use of stockopedia certainly makes sense to me. I will have stockopedia and a projector so we as a group can explore and refine.

Not the best of weeks for investors, looks like we will be on sparkling wine for this one. When things are going well, there is less urgency to discuss, but when we have situations like this, the opportunity to discuss with a group can be very welcoming.
Nerves need to be calmed and strategies considered.

What a wonderful day in Leeds! Obviously, it has been a tough week in the markets, but that can be when the power of the group can really help.
Whenever I attend an investor meetup, I am always struck by the type of person who comes along. Open minded, forward thinking, big picture, worldly wise, interested and interesting. I have never met an investor who' knows it all', they are always keen to learn and to share their own knowledge. Wonderful people.
