I am new to this so please bear with me.
Liontrust Asset Management came up in my screen based on the Winning Growth and Income Guru screen.
However, I am attempting to avoid acting blindly on everything that appears in my screen, but have a quick check of the Stockranks page. The news section in Liontrust has an item which if I understand correctly says that directors have sold a fairly large amount of shares.
Is this then a reason to hang fire?
Another example is Interquest came up with high ranks, but it had just announced earnings and this was not yet factored into the rankings - as that can take a little time.
I want to avoid doing too much of my own thinking as I expect my judgement is less reliable than the stock ranks and screens, but I do want to avoid missing flashing warning signs and crashing on regardless.
The director share sales at Liontrust seem to be just the sale of shares granted when options vested.
Share options seem to be a part of the directors remuneration packages so selling them immediately is fairly normal. I wouldn't read much into it.
