There will be presentations from International Biotechnology Trust, Downing Strategic Micro-Cap Investment Trust and Primary Bid.

Additionally there will be educational presentations on Investment Trusts and ETFs plus a panel session with Q&A

Agreed....Donald was the star of the show and it was the exit survey that confirmed that and not just me.

It was an excellent show.

I was a bit disappointed by the presentation on ETFs, because although I did learn a few things I didn't know previously about ETFs, the presenter spent a lot of time discussing things that are more likely to be of interest to ETF management companies than to retail investors. I would have preferred to have had a discussion of how one might choose between the thousands of ETFs that one could invest in.

It's interesting that your IT portfolio contains a number of private equity ITs, and you mentioned that private equity has been performing well recently. Another way to invest in private equity is via an Exchange Traded Fund (which I hold) called the iShares Listed Private Equity UCITS ETF, which has the ticker IPRV. This ETF invests in the "S&P Listed Private Equity index" that "tracks large, liquid private equity stocks from North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific, which are trading on developed market exchanges". 50% of its portfolio is in the US and 14% in the UK. It share price is up by 53% over the past year and has had relatively low volatility (according to the JustETF website).

I noticed in your presentation that you were using some graphs about ITs that you found on SharePad, rather than on Stockopedia. I think it's a pity that the information provided by Stockopedia for ITs is nowhere near as comprehensive as what it provides for ordinary stocks.

thanks Pka, that ETF looks very interesting. And I agree that Stockopedia really could improve its funds offering. I’m sure most of the data must come from a common feed so I don’t think it would be a huge task
