Mello Monday Christmas show.....14th December

If you had asked me a year ago, when we had just finished our three day event in Chiswick, where we would be doing our highest ever attended event in 2020? then I would certainly not have given the answer....'It will be online' What a difference a year makes!... as they say.

Our Christmas show in ten days times has such an amazing line up that it will almost certainly be our best attended show this year and possibly ever....

The line up is bringing together the most popular features of all our Mello events

We have a great speaker in Keith Ashworth Lord who needs little introduction. When he leaves the stage having finished his presentations as a keynote speaker at our physical events there is always a crowd 30 deep surrounding him for additional questions. You will not be disappointed as there will be lots of time for Q&A at this one too.

We also have two company presentations with one being Sumo, a company that provides development services to the video games and entertainment industries. They are doing exceptionally well and are a half billion pound company on a Stockrank of 71 and Quality rank of 75 so worth checking out their presentation with Q&A.

Another company will feature in the Gamechanger session and we will also have a very special double act on the show as two professional investors will be introducing a company that their deep research suggests is now at a tipping point

In fact we have three more sessions and so much content that we are planning a second show later in the month on Monday 21st December that will be free for anyone who buys a ticket to this show before Monday 7th December at midnight so a genuine 'buy the Christmas show ticket and get the end of year review show for free'offer.

I would be interested to hear the panel's thoughts on the hospital billing software company Craneware (LON:CRW) - On the face of it a very expensive recovery stock, with a particularly positive AGM update recently.

The catalyst could be their free cloud based Trisus Pricing Transparency software offering launched recently to comply with and analyse treatment charging under the new US hospital Pricing Transparency Rules, starting Jan 2021. This could be transformational in gaining (paid for) new hospital clients/cross selling? I hold.

My current favourites are Argentex (LON:AGFX) and K3 Capital (LON:K3C)

Argentex (LON:AGFX) in particular, it's a recent float with recent slightly disappointing results, but with a history of growth and recently much expanded salesforce and office space. So either it's poised for strong growth or it's just gone top heavy in costs. Run by founders who still own large amounts. FX Broker to business and high net worth individuals, targeting a large market dominated by banks not specialists.

K3 Capital (LON:K3C) has fantastic margins and returns. Quite acquisitive but it all makes sense so far. Strong executive ownership again. Business broking and services.

Volex (LON:VLX) might be an interesting one if it hasn't been done already recently? Recent turnaround, moved into more lucrative markets and higher margin products, seems to have a gained a lead in the provision of complicated wiring harnesses to datacenters and electric vehicles, two huge growth businesses.

Eagle Eye Solutions (LON:EYE) is another one I'd like to see analysed - loss making but the stock has been on an absolute tear recently having bagged twice since April. I sold a load recently thinking there's bound to be some price weakness after that meteoric rise but no sign of it yet.

The panel are looking at all these suggestions and we should have a decision by tomorrow afternoon. We covered Volex at our last physical event in Chiswick a year ago and it is up substantially since then.

Good news for you guys that suggested Volex and Argentex as they have both been accepted....Looks like it will be companies ending X.....maybe we should get Leon to update on Bioventix

< nerdy useless fact>

From a quick check there appear to be 49 UK listed companies ending in X (based on first word of name). that is 2.5% of the market.

At 1 company in 40 then "X" is under-represented when compared with the alphabet. But compared against common usage I would hazard a guess that is a significant over-representation.

I could be wrong but some of these look like attempts to "sex up" the company name - I wonder if there is any correlation to investment performance?
