New version of the app (being released in H1 2017)?

I voted for a number of improvements, as have my fellow stockopedians, where we have been told to wait for the new version, due in H1 2017.

We are now H1 2018, with no new version, limited improvements implemented based upon our votes, and no news.

Can we have an update please?

A good reminder thank you - I meant to ask for...

If it's not too late, can we please have an option to mark threads as "ignore" so once you decide to ignore them you do not see them again.

As a relative newcomer to Stockopedia, my one frustration is not being able to view charts on an android tablet (running Marshmallow). I tried using Dolphin browser which allows flash, but still had no luck.
Does everybody have this problem?
Has anybody found a workaround?

Hi Robin,

I can't view the new charts on my tablet either however if you go to the charts, there is a 'prefer the old charts' option at the top of the page which will then bring up the old way Stockopedia used to display them. This works on my tablet. Sometimes I prefer the old ones so glad they kept the option.

Yes, all these requests for ideas but there is no sign of any enhancements. I have asked about a new release on the conversation button a couple of times but with no response. A major new release does seem to be a year overdue. I am a great fan of stockopedia but the lack of information does disturb me.

I can view the old and new charts on an iPad, so it seems it maybe an Android problem. Only thing I can’t do is the thumbs up or down. I prefer the old charts for a quick view of MAs.

To be fair there have been a fair number of changes last year, such as new charts, risk and styles. Im sure they are working on many changes, what changes do you want?

I have found a workaround. When I load a chart it is blank. But if I then change the template at the bottom right below the chart, the bars appear!. I can revert to my default template and the bars appear!

This suggest to me that this just needs a simple tweak to sort and its something I raised months ago.

Yes, there is a new product pending. It's in the pipeline, and we're closing in on its release. But it will initially be released in a closed beta to a selection of (mostly random) subscribers. We'll send invites out to more over time as we make important improvements.

One of the things that has delayed the release has been my desire to allow subscribers to choose whether to use this (the old) site, or the new site - i.e. keeping all services running in parallel. I wish to encourage everyone over to the new site over an extended timeframe while having the option to stay here. Once everyone hears about all the rapid deployment and delivery of long awaited features in the new site, I don't think it will take too long for most to make the switch.

I hope I've earned the trust of the community over the last few years. The community has grown considerably in the last year - and our staff have too. There are amazing things in the pipeline - and if you trust me and are patient, then most (if not all) requests will be fulfilled.

I'm not going to commit to a release date publicly, as Steve Jobs never did. So let's see what happens... :-)
