Omega, the medical diagnostics company, announced that trading was in line with management expectations for the half year to 30 September 2010. Turnover for the period is expected to be £3.3 million (2009: £2.87 million) - 15% ahead of H1 last year. Sales of Genarrayt systems and Food Detective kits are continuing to gain market traction.

Sales of Genarrayt kit and instrument packages increased by approximately 71% to £761k (2009: £443k).vs. H1 2009 and 22 systems were installed during the period - bringing the worldwide total to 80 systems since launch. Genarrayt reagent sales were £632k (2009: £376k). Sales volumes of the macroarray-based Food Detective kits rose to 19,225 (2009: 14,957) and the product is now available in 40 countries worldwide.
