This thread will be a collection of optimal breakout & spring charts to study and learn from.
For my process it's important to understand the repeatable characteristics of big winners and then apply to future big winners.
Several of the key characteristics optimal breakout trades display are:
- Relative Strength in an uptrend and preferably hitting a new 52 week high or matching the 52 week high
- Significant reduction in price volatility (multiple tight candlesticks) within the base and candlesticks prior to entry
- Significant reduction in volume within the base on declines and also on candlesticks prior to entry
