Osmetech plc is an international diagnostics business with perations in Atlanta, Boston and Pasadena in the US, serving the high rowth, near patient testing market targeting small to medium sized hospitals. The OPTI range of blood gas and electrolyte products provides a high quality, reliable revenue base. Its established operational infrastructure and strong international distributor network gives the Group an excellent platform to support the further growth of its business. The acquisitions of Molecular Sensing plc in October 2004 and Clinical Micro Sensors, Inc. in July 2005 have provided a strong combination of products suitable for the rapidly growing genetic diagnostics market. The Opti GENE and eSensor products are both scheduled for launch in early 2006.
