With regret, I was stupid enough back in 2010 to buy a few shares in a US company called Ultra Petroleum.
Wishing belatedly get rid of this holding and take a loss, I have now discovered that it is not traded on the NYSE any more. My online platform has told me that it is now a pink sheet stock, therefore cannot be certified as it is not withdrawable in Crest. I believe this means that it can only be traded on the OTC market.
This is probably the end of the line, but I would like to put the loss against other gains and am therefore frustrated that I don’t seem to be able to even do that.
Do any gurus out there have any advice as to whom to contact to try and dispose of these shares and take a loss?
Any clues would be enormously appreciated
