To give you the best possible subscription experience, we are continually investing in improving the security, robustness and reliability of all aspects of the Stockopedia service. Online payments are an essential part of this.

Having outgrown our previous payment provider, we will be moving to our new partner - Stripe. As you may know, Stripe was founded by two Irish brothers and has grown to become one of the largest, and most secure online payments firms in the world - powering payments of organisations such as Amazon, Walmart and eBay.

We're excited to make this change, as many of the features that Stripe unlocks will support our ability to serve subscriber demands better - with improvements to VAT invoicing, one-time payments, alternative payment methods, different subscription structures, international payments and more.

In order to make these improvements, some elements of subscriptions and billing have had to be changed, simplified or deprecated.

  • When updating your billing details, reviewing your plan or making changes to your account, you will now use Stripe's secure hosted checkout pages. These will be simpler and more robust.
  • Changes to the way you manage your subscription are limited to credit & debit card subscribers only. Subscribers paying by PayPal will be unaffected.
  • As we are moving billing providers, invoice history before today will be unavailable for you to access through the platform. Please note, these will still be available through our support team - please do reach out to us via the green icon on your screen if you need access to them.
  • Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to offer new biennial and triennial subscriptions. All biennial and triennial subscriptions currently active will continue, but they will revert to annual plans on renewal. Our team will reach out to you directly if you are affected by this.
  • We are also retiring our referral program. All historic referrals redeemed & earned - by referred subscribers and referrers - will continue to be honoured.

The security of your data is of utmost importance - both our legacy provider and Stripe are certified Level 1 PCI Service Providers. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
