I trained as an accountant with a Top 5 firm, but that was so boring that I spent too much time in the 1990s being a disco bunny, and busting moves on the dancefloor, and chilling out with mates back at either my house or theirs, and having a lot of fun!Then spent 8 years as FD for a ladieswear retail chain called "Pilot", leaving on great terms in 2002 - having been a key player in growing the business 10 fold. If the truth be told, I partied pretty hard at the weekends too, so bank reconciliations on Monday mornings were more luck than judgement!! But they were always correct.I got bored with that and decided to become a professional small caps investor in 2002. I made millions, but got too cocky, and lost the lot in 2008, due to excessive gearing. A miserable, wilderness period occurred from 2008-2012.Since then, the sun has begun to shine again! I am now utterly briliant again, and immerse myself in small caps, and am a walking encyclopedia on the subject. 37% down on these, but I am continuing to hold because, hopefully, when things get back to normal, I will be able to at least get my money back.
I love this idea though and a great addition to the SCVR.
Fee compared to other shares in the sector these look cheap. Also feel they will be having bumper trade with everyone trapped in the UK this summer. Hopefully it’s time for this share to perform, time will tell.
I hold just breaking even... Bars and outdoor pubs seem to be getting busier by the week so hopeful these will take off with the next heatwave
Seems like with a decent bit of weather RBG are set to recover , huge dilution of shares @20p unhelpful to see where the price could go to, any thoughts on an end of year target for these, if many of the bars are full from May to Sept, surely 30p is a realistic price ?
Saw a snippet on the FT today. Bodes well? Looks like pent up demand up vs 2019. Hope it continues in Aug...
Don't forget the last two weeks of July had elevated covid cases, so maybe the growth is even higher in Aug now that cases have declined.

Just a quick note to say I’ve steered my group of friends into the local Revolution bar in Cheltenham to see what the footfall is like after the recent uncertainty coming from government over how people should be socialising.
It is completely full in here and people being turned away, lots of young students who are either oblivious or wilfully disregarding recent advice. Bad generally I guess but good for holders.

Saw that, felt it’s odd timing to tip this share. If lockdown restrictions come in revs will be most impacted. Feel this share is a coin toss investment at the moment, mo more lockdowns will do really well, more lockdowns will significantly impact.
I think there is clearly upside to 25p, although I'm not convinced on anything higher for a while yet. Its on my watch list with a number of similar puntable stocks.
Would I buy today ? no, I would like to see what government announcements occur on Boxing Day, by that time we will definitely see a correlation, or not, between infection rates and hospitalisation, and a more grounded view of our trajectory into Spring. Also RBG will not report seasonal takings until well into January or later, so no rush to buy now. There may be a blip tomorrow given coverage in the Times, but as we all know, a blip doesn't make a heartbeat or a trend.
The article seems to be a simple rehash of the pros that have been pointed out many times already. Little mention of the not inconsiderable cons.

Revolution Bars (LON:RBG) (I hold). Same here. Cheltenham bars and Revolution Bars (LON:RBG) have been very busy recently. Restaurants possibly quiet but bars with something special to offer young people are doing business. I suspect it just depends on the core demographic of each business.
In the past I have found Cheltenham appears to be a reasonable sample of middle England outlook. Not a big city but also not a country town. Somewhere in between.
The people going to bars are not breaking any rules so why shouldn't they? Cant blame them. Its Christmas and they are young and need social interaction more than older people.

Yes absolutely nothing being done wrong, it's also not lost on me that I'm in there myself as part of that group! The door staff to be fair were diligently checking everyone's Covid Passport on entry.
What was interesting from speaking to people in there is that they seem far more concerned with drinks spiking than Covid. For that sample of young people getting their drink spiked was a more tangible threat to their wellbeing - a lot were opting for bottled drinks and the bar were giving out those anti-spike widgets that go in the top of the bottle.

I'm a big fan of this company and its high cash generation, but glad I don't hold right now.
The CEO is very clear that current trading is dire. Last year the H1 results were published in April - so no immediate info for the market to respond to (and possibly over react). It seems like a very volatile situation. Worst case scenario is a lethal covid pi (next Greek letter). Best case is that Omicron burns itself out and life returns to normal. It feels very much like a gamble.
