RFE: View contributor funds

Tuesday, May 10 2011 by

It should be possible to access another user's fund from their account profiles rather than have to search through the Fantasy Funds section. I think the Funds section is a great idea.

Great site, BTW. It's very responsive. Please keep it that way.

"It should be possible to access another user's fund from their account profiles rather than have to search through the Fantasy Funds section."

I agree.

It used to be possible to do this, even if the fund was "non-compliant". I found this possibility most valuable and would really appreciate its restoration, including the possibility of seeing a non-compliant fund via the profile. (Like Darron Preston's for instance) The fantasy fund section will not show this
Being able to have a look at someone's fund and transactions is really useful in terms of working out someone's style & areas of competence and picking up ideas for own research. (as in " Oh! Poster- I- rate has bought/sold Company x. Now why might he/she have done that?)

I think it is a great feature and am really grateful to those who dare or bother to put a fund up. I wish more people did so. The niumber of funds is relatively tiny at present.

It would become even more interesting if it included foreign markets, but I guess that would be unworkable.

Hi, thanks for this feedback. You're quite right. We overlooked this in the re-design. Will revert once it's done. Best, M

We've now deployed this tweak. If a user has a fund its listed in the tabs on their profile.

I've not used this portfolio function in so long that I'd be grateful if you could let me know how long it takes for funds(from some house cleaning I did earlier) to clear - all trades were done at market. Just to get things cleared away, and the porty reduced in terms of constituent members.

Mucho gratias.

Hi, it should take about 20 minutes to execute, unless there's a pricing issue (FYI, we'll be cleaning up the data side of the fantasy funds over the coming months so these pricing issue should disappear soon).

Thanks for responding so swiftly. All seems to be updating and I've even put some new trades on!

Cheers ears.
