Spoke to Louis Hall, CEO, Cerillion on 31st March 2022.
Notes from my conversation. Appreciate this is very rough - can't bear the sound of my own voice so not transcribed word for word. Hopefully for some investors, or potential Cerillion (Cerillion (LON:CER)) investors, something in here that may be useful. Notes are in chronological order.
USP:
- standard product (no customisation) - same piece of software
- Time to market advantage
- Much cheaper for the client
How do they sell?
Some channel partners
Mostly direct sales - mostly from London
Nokia a partner for some solution - sell as a white label effectively
SI in India (at time of conversation he said they were soon to announce)
Do sell beyond telecoms - SaaS solutions in healthcare, FS and media
Market size
Hundreds of billions
Tiny proportion of the market so far
Concentrating on organic growth
Acquisitions
If acquiring, likely to be bolt on technological acquisitions rather than transformational acquisitions
KPIs
- Recurring revenue
- Managed services revenue (these often appear lower because of IFRS rules) - not an area I know about!
Cash is important
Other
Lots of momentum in Europe - more telcos to go after. Where they have been making most of their money - and will continue to do so.
Admitted they could do more to engage private investors.
