HI Does anyone know of any sites that can do the Text Analysis on the RNS (basically scrape through every RNS statement and pick out keywords and highlight them based on your criteria) - I raised with Stockopedia but I doubt it will ever get done... Unfortunately once a product gets successful as we are seeing and the cash cow keeps generating cash it just becomes talk about future development.. I really don't want to resort to ADFVN, the constant pop ups on ADFVN will probably trigger a fit..

Lse.co.uk does it.
I used to use it but now I just search for keywords on investegate. If you search for a few key words and a company comes back with rns's containing severl good key words then it is usually worth a further look.

Normally ctrl and f keys then enter your own keywords should work on most text.

if you have a page with 1500 Rns in a day I want to look inside each Rns without opening it..

CTrl F will only work if open the rns then do that another 1499 times.. im not interested in the subject heading the the content inside it

Hi Red, I use news monitor on ADVFN and it's worth every penny of the free subscription,.... providing you set up an adblocker you'll get no pop ups or annoying computer resource hungry adverts.
I use Firefox and the uBlock adblocker.

Na sorry Im not sold.. i get so much spam emails and the cost is crazy with no development put back into it.. emailed them to get my account deleted no rely..

For the cost of the advn yearly subscription I can outsource a job on elance/upwork to get someone to build me a simple web scraper using python that looks inside all rns statements on the investigate website

I doubt you can make a public website doing that without breaking some law or other, unless you pay for it. Prices from the horse's mouth:

For private use it'll be fine though if the source website has countermeasures against web scrappers, as they often do, it may be more work. Besides scrappers are fragile so often need updates every time something changes upstream enough to break the scrapper.

Everyone has their own favourite feature that's missing on Stockopedia... but it's a very long list. I appreciate that many have had to wait, but the product launched as a 3 man team back in 2012 and there's only so much that a few people can do. In the years since, we've put together a really strong team and are deep into a multi-year development project. Once live we'll have the platform to deliver the majority of the features that many are waiting for... and some incredible new ones you aren't even asking for.

I'm not going to change this long term strategy just to satisfy short term cravings. In the past I've overpromised due to my own enthusiasm... but good things take a long time to bake. I think I deserve the trust of the community... the future here is going to be amazing as long as we're patient.

The 'cash cow' comment is born from a lack of knowledge on your part, or a lack of transparency on mine. It implies that somebody somewhere is creaming off your subscription payments. The reality is that no cash has ever left the company to date - it's all been reinvested. In fact, myself and other shareholders have just this month poured a lot more capital in. The goals I've got for Stockopedia are mighty... and we'll likely need to continue to invest to get there.

As long as the root IIS website doesnt change it will be fine. If it changes you fix the code in 5 mins..Too much hassle to offer to the public as someone needs to support it.. just hosted by me and used by me..

Im Disappointed that stockopedia doesnt do more around rns...Analytics around rns and performance over a time is an interesting area..Analysing thousands of rns statements based on industrial or country or market cap (or any other combination , p/s , p/e , etc,etc,etc) could indicate a collapse or growth of a particular area.

Good to hear Ed, overpromising maybe. It very hard with software development especially the timescales

I have seen the new charts but in 2 years as a subscriber thats it..the vote on new topics is great..I know the whole
Site has been rewitten but how about a page on whats been fixed /implemented in each a selected period. It all about visibility,last time I looked at some of those comments ages ago it said things were to be implemented but never were or still in the process of getting implemented. I paid for the US subscription to find most of site abeit the shares still looks at UK site..so confusing.. little things like that. Its okay to say its on our to do list fix but having a defined timescale in release 1.xxxx etc

Its Still the best platform out there :) without the horrendous advertising of others, good to hear the moneys being reinvested, for a numpty like me Its just not visable (My only bugbear is more testing please- although with the new contact box your team do a very good job fixing things)

I have learnt so much from this site so thankyou and will always continue to learn by reading books recommended on here and studying all the explanations.

I think I could do a better job of making everything more transparent... even making the internal workings of the company more transparent. I've thought about doing a company & development blog and even regular video updates from HQ. But again we're a small team, and it's all about time.

As we grow, we'll have more staff, more management structure and more capability to be transparent in some of the ways you're asking for. That's certainly the goal. Thanks for prodding on this topic.

That sounds a lot of work, sounds like you have your hands full already

How about a simple report in the help called release notes with bugs fixed and updates similar to the big software vendors. Visibilty that things are getting fixed and a guage for you to see your progress in black and white

Red. You say you've only seen the new charts in two years. Did you miss the major piece of work on risk ratings/volatility and styles? Have you also not noticed the greater coverage of small caps now being given by Graham alongside Paul?
