Shoe Zone (LON:SHOE) Anybody like to comment on why the share price has been falling this week? I am a holder and can't find any news. They look sound to me & I will keep an eye on the situation. I might buy some more if the management continue to perform well.
I am a keen & experienced investor. I love my spread sheets, and like to think that I know what I am doing. I wouldn't be offended to be described as a bit geeky. Mostly I do well, but I always strive to do better. Married male. Born 1957 England. Good career in industry for 35 years. Been successfully investing for about 30 years. I chose to retire from salaried employment at age 57 to look after my investments. The share price keeps falling so I have sold. When I find out what is going on I will consider rebuying if the price is right.
SP has risen 10% this year, even with the recent fall.
Maybe it's simply profit-taking.
The Stockopedia stock report seems fine.
It's on the Zulu screen and several others.

When I last looked the shares were held as to 55% by members of the family and 42% by institutional investors, making the true free float only 3%. This is far too illiquid for investment IMHO.
It's a nice company, which ticks many of my investing boxes. The recent drop is a buying opportunity, in my opinion. It's a simple business, selling a value product, so not likely to be any serious bad news. The balance sheet is fine. Valuation looks appealing now. It was promoted quite heavily in the financial magazines in recent months, with articles in Shares, and IC. So it could just be their short-term readers getting bored & moving on, which happens.

It's pointless to get panic when share price goes down, particularly if you are an long term investor. Just hold on to it and buy some in dips.
