Shore Capital Group PLC is a UK investment banking group focused on services to entrepreneurial clients, on mid/small cap stockbroking, market-making and corporate finance, and on managing alternative asset class funds. Shore Capital has two operating divisions, equity capital markets and asset management, and also conducts principal finance activities using its own balance sheet. It undertakes a broad range of investment banking services, including: Equity capital markets; specialist sales to, and research for, institutions in mid and small cap stocks and selected larger cap stocks; corporate finance advice, including fund-raising, sponsorship, acting as nomad on AIM, takeovers and mergers; smaller company market-making. Shore Capital makes markets in over 750 stocks. Specialist fund management ; growth capital, both quoted and unquoted, including pre-IPO finance; commercial property; diversified portfolios of hedge funds, including an open ended investment company and a leveraged fund; structured vehicle investing in UK hotels; advisory and discretionary fund management for high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs, based on model portfolios in both equities and funds, designed either for income or for growth; innovative venture capital trusts (???VCTs???) combining growth capital and ???absolute return??? products such as hedge funds. Shore Capital Group plc is independently owned with its management as substantial shareholders. Its two principal operating companies (Shore Capital Stockbrokers Limited and Shore Capital and Corporate Limited) are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and Shore Capital Stockbrokers Limited is also a member of the London Stock.
