Executive Summary

Active Energy was established in March 2009 to manufacture and sell the VoltageMaster power optimiser as a solution for electricity and carbon reduction. These specialist transformers enable customers to reduce their electricity costs by up to 20%, with associated savings in greenhouse gas emissions. In September 2009, Active Energy was selected as a nominated supplier to the ESPO (Eastern Shire Purchasing Organisation) framework agreement for voltage optimisation equipment. This framework is open to the entire public sector. During January 2010, Active Energy announced a strategic alliance with Southern Electrical Contracting (SEC), a subsidiary of Scottish and Southern Power. SEC selected VoltageMaster as the sole voltage optimiser to be offered to their customers. Active Energy has also been successful in winning a number of public sector tenders, most recently for the installation of VoltageMaster units in over fifty Ministry of Justice court houses throughout England. VoltageMaster is made in the United Kingdom in accordance with ISO9001 Quality Standard and ISO14001 Environmental Management Standard.

Active Energy (formerly Cinpart and before Buckland Group) is a major supplier of electrical components for the consumer electronics industry supplying most major consumer brands. It has brands Derlite and Metallo, and its production processes are based on both plastics and ceramics to enable it to provide solutions for most applications. Cinpart operates through a number of wholly owned subsidiaries that variously design, manufacture, source, and supply electrical and other components primarily to manufacturers of gas appliances. The company`s manufacturing facility is located in Thailand and has customers throughout the world. Cinpart has a 72.2% interest in Active Energy Limited; a UK company which manufactures and sells power optimising transformers to customers throughout the UK and Europe.
