Any pointers would be appreciated. Especially the accuracy of the stocko site in regard to the Bps reported.
Cheers
I don't know anything about the accuracy of Stocko's data, but as an experiment I compared Stocko's quoted spreads against Moneyam for a handful of UK stocks (as of right now) and slightly to my surprise they are almost identical. The reason I was surprised is that Moneyam is clearly quoting an instantaneous spread based on last trade, but I thought that maybe Stocko used some kind of averaged value for spread.
No doubt in the UK many of the "retailers" of this data are getting it from the same source and computed in the way that source uses. Maybe in the US the originator of spread data is using a different way to compute (perhaps average over day rather than instantaneous for example.)
Thanks for that Nick...
I swing trade in conjunction with a longer term strategy so the US spread information is crucial should I also transfer the strategy to the US market.
Thanks
