Stable morning after Papandreou wins Greek confidence vote
As expected last night Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou won a vote of no-confidence by 12 votes giving the green light for further legislation which will lead to a furter raft of austerity measures and privitisations. The markets anticipated the positive result yesterday with the FTSE 100 rising 82 to 5,775.
The big news will be later today from the U.S. with Bernanke's press conference starting at 2.30pm U.S. time which should move Wall Street prior to its close.
