Does anyone more experienced than myself know if the graph that autoplots the performance of the portfolio against the benchmark index takes into account dividends?
The reason I ask is that my mocked up UK dividend portfolio seems to be underperforming the FTSE 100 (over a 1 year timeframe) by roughly the same % as the annual yield of the portfolio.
I'm wondering if at an index level, the algorithm re-invests dividends for the benchmark index, but does not for the portfolio?
There is a greater than zero chance that I have simply picked poor stocks of course...... ha!
