Dear Stockopedia Community,

I am thrilled to present Stocko Societas, a chat group designed for our community by two members of this community. Whether you're an experienced investor or just starting out, I invite you to join us in this real-time space dedicated to discussing investing ideas, sharing educational resources, and connecting with like-minded investors. Stocko Societas aims to complement the already impressive resources provided by Stockopedia, adding a valuable dimension to our investment journey.

To become a part of this vibrant community, simply leave a comment here asking to join.

As we (the Societas group members, not Stockopedia) continue to refine and improve the functionality of the discord, we would love to hear your feedback and suggestions. This is a work in progress (which, you are reminded again, is NOT officially endorsed, affiliated with, operated by any Stockopedia staff or Stockopedia branded stuff) and as such will have evolving adaptions to it based on constructive input/feedback from our community. The value of this resource will depend on the contributions of all within, so we encourage everyone to share their thoughts and ideas without anxiety or fear. -->72 new joiners joined.

-->Social feed notifications adjusted successfully via member request.

-->Announcement channel adjusted to reduce number of a specific notifications thus increasing tranquillity of the relevant channel alert system.

-->Creation of a new afk room for voip (voice) user inactivity to prevent accidental joining and staying of members in voice chat areas.

-->Had someone called Edcroft23 join! (suspicious, slightly closed casting eye mode activated).

-->Created a polling system where members have their say on modification options to the server (or anything else that requires 'polling').

--> Have met and interacted with some lovely people.

Mr. Ed Croft...May I please enquire... Is this you in our Discord or do we have another Ed Croft as a member of Stockopedia? Asking for a friend!!!

Today the requirment for members to have the exact same username in Discord as they do in Stockopedia has been removed as some on here have requested. There have also been some adjustments made to Rule 8. Have a great day.

Good morning, I hope I find you having a calm and relaxing sunday (unless you're running a marathon, in which case best of luck to you!).

I wanted to give you an update on how the Stocko Societas Discord group is doing (for those that may be interested, if your not then I appreciate you taking the time to read this anyway).

Since the launch, we have had a great response by 114 members who are now enjoying the opportunity to connect with fellow Stockopedia subscribers in a more interactive way. How they choose to utilise this oppertunity is now up to them.

We have seen signs of engagement and discussions on various topics, most being related to investing and trading across multiple companies, both fundamentally and technically. A few members have begun sharing their own insights and experiences which is great to see.

Moving forward, I and the moderator are committed to continuing to improve the functionality and user experience of the group. We have implemented new rules and guidelines, adjusting for efficiency where necessary, to ensure that the group remains a safe and respectful space for all members. We also welcome any suggestions or feedback that can help us further refine and enhance the group, some suggestions from members have already been implemented.

It's truly inspiring to read their contributions and have the opportunity to exchange thoughts and strategies.
