I watched last nights StockSlam. Some good ideas on companies I haven’t looked at before. I’m creating this post as there seems to be a great deal of disappointment that it is not continuing. 1200 viewers last night says to me that there is interest. I must confess that on several occasions in the past I haven’t been able to watch the live feed but I always take a look at the companions presented at some point after the event. It’s a great source of ideas. Second only to SCVR for me.
It wasn’t clear until the event that the problem is a lack of people willing to present ideas. There is definitely interest in the community.
I have often thought of pitching one of my ideas but then thought “who wants to hear from me?” So I don’t. I’d assumed most presenters are professionals.
Anyway. I’ll miss StockSlam and if it were reinstated then I’d commit to doing at least one presentation. Why not leave a comment below if you agree with me.
