Surface Transforms, the supplier of advanced carbon fibre reinforced ceramic products, announced that it has signed a development agreement with a major US based supplier of aircraft wheels and brakes to the military and general aviation market.

The agreement relates to the manufacture of carbon-ceramic brake discs for the customer’s target aircraft markets (with an emphasis on military projects), and is exclusive for specific aircraft programmes. The agreement is the result of over two years of development work, and is an important milestone in the relationship. The development project itself is nearing completion, and should be finished in the next twelve months. If successful, Surface Transforms is expecting the agreement to result in significant brake disc orders.
