Surface Transforms, the Cheshire based supplier of carbon fibre reinforced ceramic brakes and components, announced the appointment of David Bundred as non-executive chairman of the Company. Kevin D'Silva, the former Chairman, will continue in the role of non executive director.

Bundred has a wealth of industrial experience at senior management levels in the UK, Germany and the US. He has held various positions at the Lucas Group, including Chief Operating Officer of Lucas Aerospace, and was CEO of TMD Friction Group, a large private German industrial group, from 2003 to 2005.

It was also announced that Dr. Geoff Gould and Professor David Clark, one of the founders of the Company, are both retiring as directors.

The SCE share price has decreased by 60% over the last year.
