40,652 warrants were exercised as per the RNS on Friday

I don't recall any other RNS relating to the exercise of warrants since SIIF c.2001. There does however appear to have been some transactions not reported
Originally, 3,109,870 warrants were issued, exercisable through 13 July 2010.
As at December 2008, 2,703,351 remain outstanding. Todays exercise reduces that to 2,662,699.
So, a total of 447,171 warrants have been exercised. SIIF accounted for 284,563. Add in 40,652 from Friday, that leaves 121,956. This can be identified as two blocks comprising 40,652 exercised in 2007 and 81,304 exercised in 2008.
From this, it follows that the total warrant holdings of Salamander Assets Ltd(no connection), Alpidorica SpA and New Falcon Oil have been exercised. In addition, Quantic redistributed its warrants in 2004, reducing to nil. To date, those warrants outstanding appear to be owned by :-
Pontoil 487,823 (this amounts to 40,652 greater than their original holding)
Rui de Sousa 1,509,201
Chemsa 325,215
Upper Ground Ltd (Maugein estate) 40,652
Other 299,808*
*I guess Samy Maroun(Torobex man in Congo) probably holds a fair proportion, if not all of these.
All original holdings were multiples of 40,652
My interest in the warrants has always been based on gut feel that these were currency for bonus awards to either side in progressing deals!
