Hi everyone,

Inspired by the Guru section of Stockopedia and a love for all things investing.

I have started a youtube channel :- https://www.youtube.com/channe...

In this channel I plan to review all books created by investing & trading Guru's, summarising the main takeaways from each book.

I would be hugely grateful, for my fellow members here at Stockopedia to take a look and give me some feedback on my 1st review (it is my first so please be kind...) also let me know which book you would like me to review next.

I hope to build a huge library overtime of bite sized reviews which will reduce the learning curve and help aid the investing community.

I really liked the vid. and the engaging graphics. Also your introduction biography as that provides useful context.

Like others (above) I suggest maybe a tad slower on the important but quite detailed portions such as the 2% & 6% rules. That said it has encouraged me to look at this specific book which I guess is part of your intention.

I will definitely watch others if you do them.

Might I suggest that for one vid., you seek out a Guru book for a trader who traded in the UK.

A very engaging video Gareth, super job, I particularly like your use of the Muppets image which literally made me laugh out loud.

I havnt read this book but have read previous books by Elder, it seems like a rehash of them, so I wouldn't suggest you review his previous titles.

I suspect this title talked about kangaroo tails, the elder day etc. As his previous books did, I guess your challenge is where to draw the line on review vs detail, tricky, but nevertheless a very entertaining video, I will definitely watch others.

What about Jim Slater https://www.stockopedia.com/screens/jim-slater-zulu-principle-screen-19/

His screen seems to quite well in the Stocko Guru screens and other Stocko people do reference him quite often.

Extremely well put across key points of the book

It would be more effective if the words per min were about 10 less

I had to keep stopping and reflecting on what was put across before I got hit with the next point!

Afternoon all,

FYI I have completed another animated book review, this time the - Mark Minervini book - Trade like a stock market wizard;
This will hopefully be live tonight or the latest tomorrow evening, I will post it here first once complete.

I do have another question from Stocko team and community. Would anyone be interested in the animated version of the ebooks Stockopedia provide below? and (perhaps more importantly) would the stocko team have any objections?

Hi Gareth,

On the presumption that a book review will lead someone to decide whether or not to buy it, given that the review is unlikely to, and probably not allowed to, give away all the detail in the book. I'm not sure a review of the stocko titles would be worth the effort, primarily because they are free for all subscribers to read.

Personally I'd stick to the authors of the guru screens, although there are other books that don't have a screen attributed to them, for example, Howard Marks.
