This is a smart little telematics solution which calculates driving behaviour scores and fuel economy across the fleet or individual vehicles which can save up to 20% on fuel costs. The drivers behaviour is based on braking, cornering, acceleration, throttle usage, speeding and over revving with the Trak8 eco device which is mounted on the dashboard.
This encourages the drivers to be safer and drive with more fuel efficient practice.
The AA and Direct Line are using it. A new 25,000 unit US order for T10 BLE has been secured on 29/10/2015. The black box telematics unit allows the vehicles to be tracked and monitored.
If this can save fuel and make drivers safer then insurance premiums could be reduced as a double wammey too! No doubt there is some competition out there, but it has huge potential
