I've done a Google search on sources of UK historic data such as open/close/high/low price, which can be download. There are plenty of paid-for sites e.g. Quandl. The Yahoo/Google finance sites are an option for free data. It would be good to hear from subscribers about their experience of using different free data sites.
I'm also interested in downloading stocks' historic dividend yields - jonesj mentioned that he/she had recently identified a source with data going back to 2002, and it would be interesting to know the source. Thanks.
