UK stockmarket news feeds

Monday, Apr 12 2010 by

Just a quick post asking what people use for their "news feed" sources. I used to have a decent free page, with the news updated regularly(and it was just a case of scrolling down and/or refreshing. Since purchasing a new pc however I've lost the details and can't find the one I previously used.

Grateful for any pointers s to people's preferred news feeds.

Domo in advance

I use ADVFN......live streaming, though it is sometimes too fast!
Also you could use the following:
*As mentioned previously - investegate.co.uk (uses abridged financial news from bfnnews.co.uk ,like moneyam, and though you need to refresh it yourself - unless you use a browser like Opera)
*Stockopedia news (similar to proactive investors.co.uk )
*Newsnow.co.uk ( self updated every 5 minutes daily market news articles aggregated from the likes of Reuters/Proactive Investors/Stockopedia/IBTimes/Newspapers for LSE and AIM market and better than Google's offering)
*Bfnnews.co.uk (updates itself with roundup of stock market news throughout the day - standard version is free)
* If you have an account with TDW you can use Hemscott premium and Dows Jones News, though like Investegate.co.uk, you have to refresh it yourself and it times out after 30 minutes on non-activity.
* Or you could account with IG index/Markets and get free Reuters news feed streaming...

Hope the above helps you and others

Awesome, , appreciate the info. It seems you have highlighted the one I mislaid as well, Newsnow. Mucho gratias.

Haven't tried the TD one(I've an account with them) so I'll look into that too.

I seem to be having connection problems to Newsnow.co.uk despite every other website working okay. Anyone else with this connectivity problem?

Thanks
