Hi - I am been following along Ed's NAPS progress over the last year and was wondering has anyone tried out a US version of the NAPS, and if so how did they get on? A more generic question is the US version up to par with the UK version...I ask as I am thinking of buying the US edition..an expensive add on. Cheers
I subscribe to the US/UK edition. My reasoning was I wanted to reduce my home bias. I was painfully aware of how overweight in UK equities I was and when looking comparatively with the performance of the US indices over the last few years I felt I had made quite a mistake!
I'm currently running a (fantasy) NAPS style portfolio which commenced in November 2015. I have chosen 1 US stock and 1 UK stock in each sector but otherwise followed the rules Ed set out in his webinar. So far it's done quite well up 4.3% vs UK all share down c.1.48% and S&P 500 which is down c. 3.13% , but for as it's such a short period I'm not sure how much can be drawn from it.
