Until I read an article on Stocko today, to do with Prime People.Prime People (LON:PRP), I had never heard of Vector Vest...I watched a video on You tube ..and almost fell asleep.
I may be unfair to the video but I would like to know more about Vector Vest , from you smart guys here.

You can take out a 1 month trial for a whopping £5.95.

That will let you try out the system and join webinars and local user groups.

Note that the YouTube channel has a lot of content to review. There are also many archived training videos.

I have subscriptions to Stockopedia, Stockcharts & Vectorvest - and find the systems complementary. For £5.95 what have have you got to lose?

What would be the reason to have Vector Vest in addition to Stockopedia ? I went to one of their presentations at Master Investor a couple of years ago and was not impressed.

I currently subscribe to Stockopedia and Sharepad. Comparing the two:

Stockopedia is easier to use, gives what is for me a better one page overview of a company and provides access to SCVR. Numerous international markets available, for a price.

Sharepad has a much longer term data set, with easy downloads to Excel. As far as I can tell, it has more features, although more know how/experimenting is needed to access them. Includes some European stocks.

I think Vector Vest is for people who want to be told when to buy and sell, ie tips. I’m not sure of the prices I’m seeing many different ones from £5.95 a month to $5,000 a year. I have not been that impressed with their tips and price targets but then again Stockopedia is not always that accurate. Did Vector Vest not get caught out with Globo?

- Corroboration between each systems evaluations of a stocks fundamental and technical merits?

- Combining approaches from several tools into a more holistic methodology?

- Access to multiple market timing models?

- Backtesting?

- Live evaluation of multiple trading strategies?

- Live automated portfolios?

As for cancellation is it not the same as any direct debit? Phone and cancel. And if an issue persists phone your bank / card provider and block payment?

It is not necessarily an either / or choice. It can be about a mix of tools and methods - if you chose to make it so.

One review says you had to write a letter and send it snail mail to the USA to cancel, in the mean time they deducted more money from their credit card. I’ve come across this before with US companies, can’t believe how they operate in the US. Many us companies don’t accept email or answer them.

I’m not really interested and cancelling seems too much hassle, if it was a free trial I might give a go but it does not seem to suit me.
