Ventus VCT 2 plc is a specialist venture capital trusts established to invest in a portfolio of companies that will develop, construct and operate small on-shore UK renewable energy projects. Ventus 2 plans to focus on investing in companies developing renewable energy projects of up to 20 megawatts in capacity, although companies developing larger projects may also be considered. Given the target investment size, the Directors believe that investments will generally be in companies developing community projects, projects initiated by specialist small-scale developers, small industrial sites and other projects which are not attractive to large development companies and utilities.
