An educational interview, how Leon Boros analyses accounts.

http://www.piworld.co.uk/2017/11/30/leon-boros-understanding-accounts-interviewed-by-tamzin-freeman/

Leon gives a fascinating insight of what he’s looking for in a set of company accounts, using examples to highlight some of the hidden factors to look for. For non-accountants it can be quite a heavy watch, particularly at the midpoint, but there are many gems, and it’s worth making it till the end – even if you watch it in chunks!

YouGov’s earnings – 12:17
P&L and Balance sheet ratios – 15:30
Return on total assets – 18:29

I think this is an excellent video, which is extremely useful to someone like me who is not an accountant but would like to have a better understanding of company accounts. Many thanks to tomps3 for bringing it to our attention, and of course to Leon Boros for explaining so well how he analyses accounts and compares companies as potential investments.
