Thanks. I had not come across Geraldine Weiss before. An interesting approach and the screen shows it is quite successful over time. As you suggest, only one candidate at the moment though , which appears to be a Kenyan tea producer?
In the two years that I have been studying and investing I have learned most and had most success following the advice of Robbie Burns. He is usually entertaining too.
Also Katie Potts, who runs Herald Investment Trust (LON:HRI) - absolutely remarkable UK smallcap tech fund manager.

Three veteran small cap fund managers that I would like to hear from are:
Max Ward, a former Baillie Gifford partner, who runs the Independent Investment Trust (IIT), which is backed by some of Scotland's wealthiest families. He has a big part of his own wealth invested in the trust.
Simon Knott, who runs Rights and Issues Investment Trust (RII) which focuses on several of the small caps stocks covered by Paul and Jack in their excellent daily columns. Like Max Ward he has a big personal stake in his trust. Both manage their trusts single handed.
Stuart Widdowson who manages the Odyssean Investment Trust (OIT). He had a great track record in investing in small cap turnarounds when he was at Strategic Equity Capital (SEC), but has yet to make the same mark at OIT where he is backed by Ian Armitage, a former boss of HG Capital.
Would be great to hear from Robbie Burns (Naked Trader) - I've read his books many times over and I really appreciate his down to earth wisdom backed up by a couple of decades of success. Paul Scott is another PI I really admire, again down to earth, sensible with good honest analysis of companies. And out of left field Keith Gill (a.k.a. Roaring Kitty of the Gamestop saga) - his early videos were looking to become a great resource for researching and tracking shares and he clearly has a great sense of humour and passion for value investing and education. Also I was totally blown away by the energy, enthusiasm and insight of Vin Murria in a recent Mello interview so I'd certainly add her to this list now.
Fair enough! OK then, Simon Thompson of Investors Chronicle - definitely alive, probably available. Many of us who bought Sylvania Platinum (LON:SLP) three years ago owe our profits to him.
Agreed! I'm not doing well on this thread so far. Two deceased investors and one tipster. I'll keep quiet from now on.
I suggest Gervais Williams who is a fund manager at Miton who manages their UK small cap funds, decent record over many years.
For me, it's Buffett for his longevity, Minervini for timing and risk management, and Stocko's very own Paul Scott for his idiosyncratic analysis.
Nick Sleep ex Nomad Investment Partnership (fund now liquidated). His letters to Partners are a very good read. They chronicle his journey from cigar butts investements to franchise hold forever investments.
Robbie Burns, as a novice I found his Naked Trader books were so easy to read and were a game changer for me.
Left field idea: how about a big cheese from one of the popular retail brokers? They must surely be heavily into data analytics and must have fascinating insights into things like - characteristics of successful/unsuccessful clients, success of shares v. funds accounts, does success grow over time, are traders more successful than buy and holders, UK v. overseas, impact of account size, ditto age, ditto gender, volatility v. return....... And of course stats to confirm how Stocko's reported account returns trounce those of Jo Public.
Collectively we could generate a huge list of questions. I imagine the Stocko top brass already have several senior contacts in the industry.

Keith Ashworth-Lord
Ben Rogoff
as well as more (potentially) accessible people such as:
Robbie Burns
Leon Boros
Lord Lee
Maynard Payton
Phil Oakley of Investors Chronicle, (maybe like the comments on Simon Thompson above) may not be an investor (?) but as a financial journalist he is very grounded and speaks a lot of sense. I enjoy listening to him on the IC Alpha Podcast.
