I am a private small scale investor based in the UK.
Over the past year I have invested more of my available funds in US stocks, given the dismal performance of the UK markets.I
I have been intrigued by the often large daily swings in the price of individual companies. In the UK it tends to happen with low cost stocks or those where most of the stock is held in a very few hands. However, in the US, individual units of stock are generally highly priced compared with the UK yet daily swings of 10%+ are frequent and appear generally not to be news driven.
Can anyone educate me, please?
Yes I have noticed this, US large caps have behaved like UK small caps, someone said elephants don't gallop, well it does not apply to some US large caps.
Must be large amounts of money being switched around. TTD has had a great run, up about 6x from it's low, bound to be some profit taking sooner or later.
