I'm just looking at Conviviality - CVR where the quality rank seems to have shot up by 19 points in the last couple of days without any news.
I can understand that value and momentum will change constantly as prices fluctuate, but I would have thought quality would be fairly stable, just changing when results or other major news is announced.
Try going to the Stockreport then using the "breadcrumb" at the top of the page to navigate to the list of shares in that sector (in this caseFood and Rug Retailing Sector).
you will see all the shares in the sector and their ranks. Click on the Quality rank for CVR and it will show you the components that make up the Quality rank. One or more of these will have changed bringing the score up.
As an example, some of the components are based on 5 year averages so if an event 5.1 years ago has now fallen outside of the 5 year average period then that component will change which would cause the quality rank overall to change.
Or something similar has changed one of the other components of the rank. I don't know specifically what it was in this case but you may be able to use the previous reports under the Print button drop down arrow to work out what it was now you can see what the Quality rank is made up of.
cheers
