Executive Summary

Zytronic plc is an industry leader in the development and manufacture of customised optical filters to enhance electronic display performance. It is also an innovator in the production of specialised and transparent laminates for niche markets. Manufacturing from modern factory premises near Newcastle upon Tyne in England, Zytronic assembles filters utilising special glass and plastic materials in environmentally controlled clean rooms. The laminates are processed through high-temperature and pressure autoclaves that enable the manufacture of products to exacting specifications. Other production facilities include glass bending ovens, tempering facilities, edge grinding, polishing, drilling, silk-screen printing, electro-plating and coating equipment. These facilities are complemented by the lamination, material science and electronics skills and expertise of our dedicated staff. Based on this lamination expertise, Zytronic has developed a unique range of touchscreen products employing projected capacitive technology ZYTOUCHT? which enables the pointing device to sense through an anti-vandal screen in front of the display. This system offers significant benefits to electronic display manufacturers. Zytronic has officially launched its new range of touch sensor products, based on their internationally award winning projected capacitive technology. The ZYPOST? solution has been designed to be the ideal sensor solution for POS, Gaming and In-vehicle equipment, where it will offer huge technical benefits over the more traditionally employed resistive, capacitive and SAW technologies.
